Marcela Paredes Huacles creates this delightful wall hanging in arpillería – embroidered appliqués of fabric cutouts hand-stitched to a background of tocuyo cloth, a coarsely woven cotton. Crafted in three dimensions, each figure is lavishly embroidered; a crocheted border finishes the piece. 60% cotton, 30% synthetic, 5% wool, 5% thread. Hand wash in cold water with mild detergent.
