By placing the key protagonists in a raft shaped like a basket, the artist suggests the lineage with Moses of this newborn prophet who will be the Messiah. Alberto Aparicio Canchari and his wife sculpt and paint the figures by hand and bake them in a wood-fired kiln before polishing them. This charming nativity scene beautifully expresses the faith and mysticism of the Andean people. It makes a beautifully unique and original addition to traditional holiday décor.
